Sales Engineer – Machine Tool Solutions

We are seeking a seasoned and driven Sales Engineer with a strong background in precision machining and advanced manufacturing solutions. This individual will be responsible for developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction, and driving growth across a defined territory. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with business acumen and thrives in consultative, solution-based sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting both new and existing customers within the precision machining and manufacturing industry.

  • Partner with machine tool builders and internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs.

  • Build compelling business cases to support sales opportunities and communicate ROI to key decision-makers.

  • Create and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that showcase the value proposition of advanced machine tool solutions.

  • Manage technical requirements in response to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

  • Provide clear feedback from customers to influence product improvements and future technology development.

  • Gather, analyze, and share competitive intelligence to strengthen market positioning.

Requirements

  • Proven success as a Sales Engineer or in a technical sales role within the machine tool or advanced manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and sell high-value technology solutions.

  • Strong technical background in precision machining, automation, or manufacturing processes.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for executive-level audiences.

  • Track record of building long-term, trusted relationships with senior executives and engineering teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and negotiation skills.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as required.

  • CMTSE certification or equivalent is a plus.
