CNC Setup Tech in New York

Job Description

!!!!MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE!!!!!

We’re hiring a CNC Setup Tech Level 2! In this role, you’ll take on advanced setups, machine adjustments, and quality checks to ensure production runs smoothly and accurately.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform complex CNC machine setups on lathes and/or mills
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
• Maintain accurate setup documentation and production records
• Support training of junior setup/operators as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of CNC machining/setup experience (2 years minimum)
• Strong knowledge of G-code, tooling, cutting parameters, and machine controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Skilled in the use of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Team player with strong communication skills
