Audit Senior/Supervisor - Growing CPA Firm (Washington, D.C.)

A highly respected and growing CPA firm in Washington, D.C. is looking to add an Audit Senior/Supervisor to their team. This stable and client-focused firm delivers deep expertise in audit services with a strong emphasis on the nonprofit sector. Due to continued growth, there is an opportunity for an experienced audit professional to lead engagements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the firm's success in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Audit Senior/Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit organizations from planning through completion
  • Oversee, mentor, and train junior staff members to develop their technical and professional skills
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements
  • Perform tax preparation and review work as needed to support client needs
  • Ensure audit quality and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Contribute to business development and firm visibility within the nonprofit sector

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license (required)
  • 4-5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
  • Strong nonprofit audit experience required
  • Understanding of tax preparation and review processes
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff
  • Excellent client management and communication skills
