A highly respected and well-established general contractor in the Charleston area is seeking an experienced Multifamily Project Manager to join their growing team. The company is known for its strong reputation, quality craftsmanship, and long-term relationships across the Lowcountry construction market.
Position Overview: This role will oversee mid- to large-scale multifamily projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or residential developments and be comfortable leading field and office teams through all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of project delivery including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and client communication
Lead project teams from preconstruction through turnover
Maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and schedule requirements
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design or field issues
Oversee financial performance, change orders, and project documentation
Develop strong relationships with clients and trade partners
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in multifamily construction
Proven success managing multiple projects or large, complex builds
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
Based in or willing to relocate to the Charleston, SC area
