Tax Senior or Tax Manager
Location: Norfolk County, MA
We are seeking a Tax Senior or Tax Manager to join our team. This role is client-facing, involves mentoring staff, and offers exposure to a wide range of industries. Candidates will participate in tax preparation, financial statement reviews, and A&A services, with opportunities to lead and grow within the firm.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Tax Manager:
- 6+ years of public accounting experience (CPA required)
- Manage and mentor staff, oversee client relationships
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and related work papers
- Perform A&A services, including reviews, compilations, and financial reporting
- Industry exposure: construction, contractors, real estate, industrial services, VC acquisitions, IPOs, multistate companies
- Experience with corporate, partnership, and financial statements; peer review experience preferred
- Software: Thomson Reuters UltraTax, CaseWare, Microsoft Suite
Tax Senior:
- 3–5+ years of public accounting experience (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
- Generalist background with experience in entity tax work (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership)
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
- Perform A&A services, including reviews, compilations, and financial reporting
- Eager to learn and grow professionally
- Software: Thomson Reuters UltraTax, CaseWare, Microsoft Suite
Work Environment:
- Boutique-sized, collaborative firm with low turnover
- Emphasis on mentorship, professional development, and quality of work
- Busy season: 50–55 hours/week on average
- Non-busy season: ~32 hours/week
Compensation & Benefits:
- Manager level: $100K–$120K DOE
- Senior level: $80K–$100K DOE
