 Master Scheduler – Exciting Relocation Opportunity!

A leading, Midwest-proud manufacturing company with global reach is seeking a talented Master Scheduler to oversee production forecasting within Oracle to drive material and capacity planning. They manage item planning attributes, coordinate prototype processing, maintain warehouse stocking levels, and facilitate capacity planning. Additionally, they create and update detailed forecasts, ensure accurate item attribute maintenance, and provide guidance on Oracle planning tools to optimize operations.

Note: This role requires relocation to rural South Dakota to Northeast of the Aberdeen area. This region offers excellent hunting and fishing, affordable housing, and a relaxed Midwestern small-town lifestyle.

Master Scheduler Responsibilities

The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in production planning and inventory control, with key responsibilities including:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Comparing current and anticipated orders with available raw materials and forecasting demand for additional supplies.
  • Managing production forecasts and item planning data within Oracle.
  • Schedule prototype processing and oversee warehouse stocking levels.
  • Analyze and implement process improvements for production planning.
  • Utilize Oracle planning tools to optimize scheduling and material availability.
  • Support new part release processes (ECO) and maintain planning procedures.
  • Coordinate production schedules to ensure material flow and on-time delivery.
  • Communicate schedule updates and collaborate with procurement to expedite materials.
  • Monitor backorder fulfillment to prevent customer disruptions.
  • Assisting in cross-training and providing backup scheduling support.
  • Performing additional duties as needed to support operational excellence.

Master Scheduler Requirements

  • A two-year technical degree is required (a four-year degree is preferred), or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar or equivalent scheduling role within manufacturing .
  • APICS certification is preferred. APICS knowledge is required. 
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of business operations and supply chain processes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High proficiency in production planning systems, Previous Oracle experience is preferred.
