gpac is working with a dairy manufacturer that is seeking Maintenance Manager, for their facilities south of Madison area of Wisconsin. This dairy company has been in business for 40 years and are growing significantly.
They are looking for someone with mentoring and training experience in maintenance, and able to oversee three of their smaller plants in town.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Has knowledge on how to repair industrial manufacturing equipment
- Manage all maintenance personnel (or they can train on the job for this responsibility and grow into it later), facilities and equipment in relation to maintenance needs at 2 plants in town
- Builds the capability (mentoring) of maintenance technicians and supervisors (again, can be trained into this)
- Serve as a liaison between maintenance, production and all other departments to make recommendations company wide
- High visibility and time on production floor

- Applies knowledge of processes, equipment and system capability to set challenging individual and facility standards.
- Coaches supervisors to achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization, maintenance of equipment and quality (can be trained into this role)
- Oversees and assures facility equipment reliability to minimize downtime
- Ensures compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices and oversees the activities of other employees to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; recommends changes to improve safety procedures.
- Reduce production downtime, and PM completion.
Qualifications:
- Maintenance experience with food manufacturing equipment
- 2 years supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of company products, production processes and product standards
- Skilled in use of all tools and equipment used for component manufacturing at locations
- Ability to execute plans/projects through others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprises resource planning (ERP) program
