Electrical Engineer – Siemens PLC & HMI Programming Expert
A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in Siemens programming (version 18 and newer). This is a key technical role for someone who can program PLCs and HMIs from scratch, efficiently troubleshoot automation issues, and create clear documentation to support off-shift teams. Key Responsibilities:
Design and program Siemens PLC and HMI systems (version 18 and above) from the ground up
Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues on manufacturing equipment
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure uptime and equipment reliability
Develop clear, concise documentation and troubleshooting guides for off-shift maintenance personnel
Conduct program backups, updates, and system upgrades as needed
Assist with machine startups, commissioning, and modifications
Support continuous improvement projects related to automation and controls
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a closely related field is required
Strong experience programming with Siemens TIA Portal v18 or newer
Proficiency with PLC and HMI logic design, troubleshooting, and implementation
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and technical documentation
Familiar with control panel layout and field wiring best practices
Excellent communication skills, especially in documenting logic for non-engineers
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with hands-on mindset
Experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial automation preferred
