Commercial Estimator – Construction
A reputable commercial contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is a strong opportunity to join a company with a steady pipeline of work and a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates, manage bid processes, and support project teams from concept through award.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects · Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings and specifications · Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids · Develop budgets and conceptual estimates during preconstruction · Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options · Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during bid process · Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors · Assist in bid submissions and proposal preparation
Qualifications
· 3–8+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating · Experience with ground-up and/or renovation projects · Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications · Experience with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.) · Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills · Stable work history within commercial construction
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 per year (based on experience) · Competitive compensation package · Full benefits (health, dental, vision) · Bonus potential based on performance · Strong pipeline of commercial projects · Opportunity for growth within preconstruction team
