Professional Land Surveyor

A leading Multi-Discipline Engineering and Land Surveying Firm in Columbus, Ohio is looking to add a Licensed PLS to the team.

The right candidate will be responsible for all phases of survey projects from field to finish, including client contact and relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project team members including surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.
  • Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries.

    Verify accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations.

  • Responsible for survey calculations, analysis and map checking, review of title data, record drawings research.
  • Review and process the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.
  • Research legal records, survey records, and land titles.
  • Supervise field staff to ensure survey accuracy.
  • Prepare and present reports on survey results to clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior project team members as needed. 
  • Maintain company standards for the preparation of surveys and mapping documents.  

Requirements:

  • Professional Land Surveyor License (OH)
  • Bachelor’s degree or an apprenticeship, preferred.
  • 5-10 years of professional Land Surveying experience.
  • Strong proficiency with engineering software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
