A well-established, full-service law firm in Calgary is seeking a litigation associate (1–5 years call) to join its insurance defence practice.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, team-based environment on a diverse range of insurance defence matters. The firm offers strong mentorship, hands-on experience, and exposure to complex litigation files.

Practice Focus

• Personal injury
• Products liability
• Professional negligence
• Construction-related disputes

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage insurance defence litigation files
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
• Attend mediations, discoveries, and court appearances
• Collaborate with partners and team members on file progression

Ideal Candidate

• 1–5 years of litigation experience
• Background or strong interest in insurance defence litigation
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
