A confidential and well-established commercial general contractor in the Tampa area is looking to hire a dedicated and motivated Assistant Superintendent to support daily on-site operations across a variety of commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from seasoned leaders, gain hands-on field experience, and grow into a Superintendent role over time.

Support the Superintendent with day-to-day on-site supervision of commercial construction projects.
Assist with enforcing safety standards and site-specific safety plans.
Monitor and document daily progress, manpower, and jobsite activities.
Help coordinate subcontractor scheduling and on-site logistics.
Ensure jobsite cleanliness, security, and compliance with regulations.
Assist with quality control and adherence to project specifications and plans.
Participate in project meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections.
Report jobsite concerns or issues promptly to the Superintendent or Project Manager.
Maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and project documentation.
Communicate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and office staff.
2+ years of experience in a commercial construction field role (Carpenter Foreman, Labor Foreman, or previous Assistant Superintendent experience preferred).
Solid understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and safety practices.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Experience using construction management software like Procore or PlanGrid is a plus.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Ability to work on-site full time and manage multiple trades at once.
