Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
Job Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards. This role leads a team of production employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to meet production schedules and targets
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members to improve performance and engagement
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and minimal downtime
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment
- Ensure product quality standards are consistently met and address any production issues promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Manage employee attendance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing/plant floor environment
- May require standing for extended periods and working flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends
