We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial material handling and process equipment at customer manufacturing facilities across North America. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys travel, technical problem-solving, and working independently.
This role supports systems including drying, conveying, blending, and temperature control equipment. The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical aptitude with electrical and controls troubleshooting experience and thrives in a customer-facing field service environment. Travel is extensive (~95%), supporting installations, startups, and service interventions nationwide.
Install, commission, and start up industrial process and material handling equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems
Troubleshoot conveyors, vacuum loaders, dryers, and auxiliary process machinery
Perform preventive maintenance, alignment, calibration, and component replacement
Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Support PLC and HMI troubleshooting
Train customer operators and document service activities
Degree or technical training in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
3+ years of Field Service, OEM service, or industrial maintenance experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with industrial machinery, material handling, or automated production systems
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
Ability to work independently at customer sites
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Industrial drying systems, vacuum conveying, or material handling equipment
Pneumatics, motor controls, VFDs, heaters, blowers, and valves
PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
Startup, commissioning, or OEM field service experience
Plastics processing, extrusion, injection molding, or similar environments
Work Environment: Field-based role in active industrial facilities. May involve standing for long periods, lifting tools or components, climbing structures, and occasional extended hours or weekend work during critical installations or service events.
