Job Description

A top engineering firm in the area is looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in the AEC industries. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a team of highly motivated staff.

Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • 3 – 4 years experience, PE preferred.  Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Must know support of excavation (SOE) design, pile design, foundation design, ground improvement methods and design.
  • Work with in-house soil boring driller in inspections during drilling, soil samples and classification, preparation of soil boring log and geotechnical reports, cone penetrometer testing, and documentation of test pits.
  • MUST have good communication and writing skills
  • Occasional site inspections.
  • Must be familiar with design software, including Plaxis, DeepEx, CivilTech, L Pile, AutoCAD etc.

Geotechnical Engineer Compensation:

  • $80,000 - 110,000

  • Excellent benefits package, 401k with an above market company match.
