Insurance Defense Attorney | Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
A well-established and growing litigation firm in Tampa is seeking a 1+ year Associate Attorney to join its insurance defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and develop strong litigation and trial skills.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in managing insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, including property, auto, and personal injury cases
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; support case strategy and file progression
- Participate in depositions, mediations, and court hearings with increasing responsibility
- Work closely with senior attorneys to prepare cases for trial
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of litigation experience (insurance defense experience preferred but not required)
- Strong interest in developing trial skills and gaining courtroom exposure
- Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
- Exposure to depositions, mediations, or hearings is a plus
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, in-office environment
