Field Service Representative 

A local firm making specialty products for the metal industry has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Representative. This role is for a skilled professional with mechanical aptitude and excellent communication (verbal and written) abilities that is comfortable assembling equipment at various client sites throughout the western hemisphere. Field Service Representative role will require regular travel.  

 

Field Service Representative Areas of Responsibility  

Projects 

  • Pre-Assembly of equipment at vendor site 

  • Installation of equipment at customer site 

  • Training of customeroperators and maintenance personnel   

  • Answering customer questionsin consultationwith the Project Manager 

  • Coordinatecustomer spare part needs with Parts Manager  

  • Preparing company field service reports for OEM/Customer used to invoice for services provided by the company and electrical supplier 

  • Assist/Inform electrical supplier during installation and commissioning of equipment  

  • Speak with Project Manager regarding new developments to ensure knowledge of equipment prior to going to job site 

Field Service 

  • Assist customer in installation of spare parts or upgrades of equipment 

  • Inform customer of company’snew technologytobenefit customer 

  • Assist customer in re-building existing equipment 

  • Preparing field service report for future reference by company for later sales and service 

 

Field Service RepresentativeRequirements: 

  • Good customer service skills and professional appearance 

  • Comfort speaking as company representative with a line worker, maintenance manager, or client’s CEO  

  • 4-6 years experience in maintenance or service role 

  • Good Mechanical Aptitude and Strong Writing Ability 

  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical system, and powertrain components, etc. associated with assembly, integration, and service ofspecialized equipment 

  • Strong organizational skills and positive attitude 

  • Knowledge of inventory management and safe work best practices 

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
