Data Center Superintendent
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Superintendent to lead complex, mission-critical construction projects. This role requires a strong field leader who understands the pace, precision, and coordination required for data center builds, including MEP-intensive scopes, strict schedules, and zero-margin-for-error execution.
The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance from mobilization through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities for data center projects
Manage field operations, sequencing, logistics, and manpower planning
Coordinate closely with MEP trades, commissioning teams, inspectors, and project management
Enforce jobsite safety, QA/QC standards, and company policies
Maintain and drive project schedules; identify and resolve conflicts proactively
Conduct daily subcontractor coordination meetings and site walks
Review drawings, specs, and RFIs; identify constructability issues early
Qualifications
5+ years of Superintendent experience on large-scale commercial or mission-critical projects
Direct experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or highly MEP-intensive projects strongly preferred
Proven success managing fast-paced, schedule-driven projects
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents
Excellent leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills
Preferred Experience
Data centers, hospitals, life sciences, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects
Phased turnovers and commissioning-driven schedules
High-visibility, long-term projects
Strong pipeline of repeat work
