2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor
Food Manufacturing | Western New York Area
If you’re the kind of maintenance leader who doesn’t just react to breakdowns—but builds systems, develops people, and keeps a facility running the way it should—this is the role you’ve been waiting for.
We’re working with a well-established food manufacturing company in the Western New York area looking to bring on a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor. This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll have real influence on uptime, team performance, and overall plant reliability.
This is not a “keep things afloat” role — they want someone who can step in, take ownership, and elevate the operation.
What you’ll own:
• Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians on 2nd shift
• Keep production and facility equipment running efficiently and consistently
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues — and fix them right the first time
• Drive preventative maintenance programs and improve overall reliability
• Manage spare parts, inventory planning, and equipment readiness
• Partner with leadership and HR on hiring, staffing, and team development• Enforce and elevate safety standards (OSHA, PSM, etc.)
• Communicate clearly across shifts to keep operations aligned
What makes someone successful here:
• You’ve led maintenance teams in a food manufacturing environment
• You’re hands-on and respected by your team — not just managing from a distance
• You understand how to balance urgency with long-term equipment reliability
• You can walk into a situation, assess it quickly, and take control
• You take pride in building strong teams and holding high standards
What you bring:
• 5–7+ years of maintenance leadership experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration and regulated environments
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
• Solid organization and computer skills
What’s in it for you:
• $80,000 – $100,000 base (depending on experience)
• 3 weeks PTO + paid holidays
• Full health, dental, and vision coverage
• 401(k) with company match
• Long-term growth and leadership development opportunities
• Stable company with a strong team culture
Additional notes:
This role may require flexibility for off-shift support, weekends, or holidays as needed. This is a leadership position for someone who takes ownership of their operation.
