Job Title: Corrections Specialist
Department: Account Management
Reports To: Team Lead/Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Corrections Specialist is responsible for reviewing, tracking, and resolving outstanding post-closing corrections related to security instruments and final lender policies. This role ensures that loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with investor and custodian requirements. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of mortgage documentation and title insurance policies and can coordinate corrections efficiently with title companies, settlement agents, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage outstanding post-closing corrections for mortgage loans.
  • Review recorded documents, title policies, and related loan files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify document deficiencies and coordinate corrections with title companies and settlement agents.
  • Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and update loan status in internal systems.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in mortgage post-closing, trailing documents, title, or settlement services.
  • Basic understanding of mortgage closing documentation and title insurance policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Excel is preferred.
