Insurance Coverage Attorney

Chicago, Illinois | Hybrid Schedule

An established and respected law firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated coverage matters within a collaborative and professionally supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience handling insurance coverage matters, including analysis, litigation, and/or advisory work. Experience involving liability-related coverage issues is strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and related legal documents
• Handle complex insurance coverage litigation and disputes
• Conduct legal research, motion practice, and case strategy development
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on risk assessment and litigation management
• Manage cases effectively from inception through resolution

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Illinois bar license in good standing
• 5+ years of insurance coverage experience
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with liability coverage matters preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working within a team-oriented environment
