Job Description

A respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to support its expanding trust and estate practice. This paralegal role involves working closely with attorneys on complex trust and estate administration and planning matters in a collaborative, in-office environment. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality trust and estate work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of trust and estate administration, including preparing probate filings, accountings, inventories, and applicable tax documents.
  • Draft estate planning documents—wills, trusts, and powers of attorney—for attorney review as part of ongoing trust and estate matters.
  • Maintain organized client files, track deadlines, and coordinate communications among clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries for multiple trust and estate cases.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and summaries that support daily paralegal responsibilities within the practice group.
  • Record and bill time accurately in accordance with firm procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm handling estate and trust related work.
  • Paralegal degree or certificate required.
  • Strong understanding of Florida probate law, estate administration, and fiduciary accounting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with document management and billing software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
