General Liability | Insurance Defense Attorney

San Diego

A well-established, AV-rated regional Defense firm with multiple offices is seeking to expand their Litigation team in their San Diego office with a 3 to 15 years' experienced Associate/Senior Attorney keen on working on interesting cases, a passion for litigating and going to trial. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle a variety of defense work, in a daily in-office role. The modern, new offices located north of downtown San Diego have full staff support, with a collegial work culture, offering training and mentoring from SuperLawyers that are the best in this field. Areas of practice include: General Liability Defense, Insurance Coverage, Casualty Insurance, Catastrophic Liability Defense, Premises Liability, Commercial Auto, Tank and Trucking Litigation, Construction Defect, Homeowners. 

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Drafting motions, discovery, pleadings, briefings, taking and defending depositions; SIU, EUO experience a plus
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy
• Prepare and argue motions and opposition, trial prep, manage high volume case load
• Courtroom and jury trial experience preferred

Compensation structure is an annual base salary DOE $140K-$180K; for Senior Associates 10+ DOE $180K-$230K+. Additional details on benefits and unlimited PTO available. First interview via zoom; second in-person.
