The Opportunity

A highly regarded, award-winning full-service law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Edmonton office.

This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with 3+ years of litigation experience who is looking for sophisticated work, meaningful responsibility, and a long-term career path within a collaborative team. You will work closely with an experienced partner on complex matters while maintaining carriage of your own files, providing an excellent balance of mentorship and autonomy.

Practice Areas

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of litigation matters, including:

• Commercial and general litigation
• Employment law
• Personal injury
• Construction litigation
• Collections and debt recovery
• Corporate and business disputes

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own litigation files from inception through resolution
• Work alongside an experienced partner on complex litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, briefs, and other litigation materials
• Conduct discoveries, mediations, negotiations, and court appearances
• Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal advice
• Build strong relationships with corporate and business clients
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Strong advocacy, legal research, and drafting skills
• Experience managing files independently
• Excellent organizational and client communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performing environment
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
