Commercial Construction Estimator
A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in the preconstruction process by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project drawings and specifications, and working closely with project teams to support successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience estimating commercial construction projects across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial construction projects
Review plans, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and cost requirements
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors during the bidding process
Assist with budget development and value engineering opportunities
Qualifications
3–7+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building methods
Experience estimating projects such as commercial, retail, healthcare, industrial, or institutional builds
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
