Client is seeking a senior-level affordable housing attorney(6-8 years of law firm experience) to join its team.
This team works with for-profit and nonprofit developers, along with investors and governmental entities, to develop, acquire, construct, finance, operate and preserve housing across the country.
Qualifications Include
- MINIMUM 6 years of relevant law firm experience focused on affordable housing transactions, including affordable housing finance, development and incentives.
- Experience with all types of affordable housing transactions including LIHTC closings (4% and 9% transactions), refinancing, acquisitions, dispositions and exits.
- Experience representing all sides (i.e., developers, syndicators/investors and lenders) preferred but not required.
- Work includes up-front planning and issue spotting to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various transaction documents and conducting necessary due diligence, as well as overall project management and direct interaction with clients and opposing parties.
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school.
