We are partnered with a highly reputable, local firm that is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Structural Building Engineer to join their dynamic team in York, PA.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building design, analysis, and construction support, with a valid Professional Engineering (PE) license. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial building projects with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze building structures in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
Prepare detailed structural plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver integrated building solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
Ensure projects comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
Participate in client meetings and present engineering solutions clearly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineering (PE) license in PA is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural building engineering.
Proficient with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RAM, SAFE, SAP2000) and CAD tools.
Strong understanding of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
