Water Law Attorney

My client, a well-established and respected firm, is seeking a senior Water Law Attorney (Partner) to join and help lead their water law practice in Denver. What You'll Do:

  • Represent clients in all aspects of water law, including adjudications, change of use proceedings, and litigation.

  • Advise clients on water rights acquisitions, protection, development, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Draft and negotiate water-related agreements, including purchase, lease, and augmentation plans.

  • Appear before water courts, administrative agencies, and regulatory bodies.

  • Lead and mentor attorneys and staff working within the water law division.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Colorado.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in water law, natural resources law, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

  • Strong research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.

  • A portable book of business is strongly preferred.
