Senior Quality Engineer

Yankton, SD $85,000 – $105,000

We are seeking a driven Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across operations.  If you thrive in problem-solving, process improvement, and technical leadership — this is a high-impact opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and improve Quality Management System performance

• Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

• Support audits, compliance, and process validation activities

• Apply statistical tools (SPC, MSA, capability studies) to improve performance

• Partner with engineering and production to optimize workflow and plant layout

• Identify and implement process, equipment, and technology improvements

• Provide mentorship and technical leadership across teams

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of manufacturing experience

• 5+ years in a Quality Engineering or related role

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits, and compliance

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

• Experience with Lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives

• Self-starter with strong communication and leadership skills

Work Environment

• Primarily day shift

• Occasional nights, weekends, or travel (including overnight)

• Hands-on manufacturing environment

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods
