We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Manager to join our team and lead our employee benefits department.Position Overview:As an Employee Benefits Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the employee benefits team, ensuring excellent client service, efficient administration of group benefits plans, and compliance with industry standards. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of employee benefits specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Lead: Manage the daily activities of the employee benefits team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality client service.
  • Training and Development: Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their expertise in group benefits products and service delivery.
  • Client Service: Oversee client service interactions, resolving complex benefits issues and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Plan Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of group enrollments, renewals, plan changes, COBRA administration, and compliance-related filings.
  • Compliance: Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, etc.) and company policies, implementing necessary changes and updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement and achievement of departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits/group insurance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Licensing: Active Life & Health insurance license required (additional certifications such as CEBS, REBC, or GBA a plus).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in benefits administration platforms (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, Benefitfocus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Client Focused: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service, build strong broker/employer relationships, and resolve complex benefits issues effectively.
