Hollow Metal Door Shop Lead in Des Moines

Job Description

Family-owned company in the Des Moines, IA area is growing and looking to add an experienced Hollow Metal Door Shop Lead to the team! 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily shop operations including quality control, hollow metal door and frame fabrication and modification, and inventory management
• Cutting, grinding, welding, and finishing work
• Field labor projects as necessary
• Mainting prouction goals and modify for shop schedule

Qualificaitons:

• 5+ years experience with hollow metal door & frame production
• Extensive industry knowledge of product manufacturers 
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Light guage MIG welding and finishing experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic understanding of computers and tablets (iPad preferred)
• Hollow metal door and frame installation experience is a plus
• Woodworking background is a plus
