Job Opportunity: Loan Operations Specialist
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Loan Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our loan processes. Your keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities will be crucial in conducting loan research, resolving issues, and processing loan payoffs.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Booking: Accurately book new loans, renewals, modifications, letters of credit, and guidance lines of credit.
- SBA Loans: Manage the booking of new SBA loans and ensure compliance with 1502 reporting to the FTA.
- Document Management: Scan loan files and perform thorough post-closing loan reviews.
- Payment Processing: Post payments, draws, and principal reductions with precision.
- Quality Control: Edit loans booked to the loan platform for accuracy and manage participation loan processing for both purchased and sold loans.
- Transaction Management: Clear unposted loan transactions and address general loan inquiries and research.
- Account Balancing: Balance loan general ledger clearing accounts and handle the recording/release of applicable documents.
- Exception Tracking: Maintain and report on document exception tracking.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Loan Operations.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year in a supervisory role within loan operations (preferred).
- High Productivity: Ability to manage a high volume of work with minimal supervision.
- Transaction Processing: Proficient in booking loans, processing loan payments and adjustments, and reconciling general ledger accounts. (Experience with SilverLake is a plus)
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to independently identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to the bank’s automated loan systems.
