Our client, a highly respected law firm with a national footprint, is seeking a seasoned Paralegal to join their premier Insurance Defense team. What You’ll Do:
- Full Case Management: Manage the litigation lifecycle for insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability.
- Legal Drafting: Prepare legal documents including answers, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions.
- Medical/Technical Analysis: Summarize medical records, depositions, and employment records with precision and analytical insight.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Interface directly with insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to ensure seamless case progression.
- Billing & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to carrier billing guidelines and maintain meticulous time-entry records (LEDES billing).
- Trial Prep: Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including exhibit management and witness coordination.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3–5+ years of litigation experience specifically within Insurance Defense.
- Carrier Knowledge: Deep familiarity with insurance carrier reporting requirements and billing protocols.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in litigation support software (e.g., Relativity, Clio, NetDocuments) and e-filing (state and federal).
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills and a professional "executive presence" in virtual meetings.
- Credentialing: A Paralegal Certificate or NALA/NFPA certification is preferred.
- Training will be in person for 1-2 months.
