Insurance Coverage Attorney (Litigation)
Established law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join its litigation practice. Candidates may be considered across multiple office locations, including St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, and Dallas.
This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented attorney with experience in complex insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector.
Responsibilities
Handle insurance coverage litigation matters from inception through resolution
Analyze and interpret commercial insurance policies across various lines of coverage
Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and other coverage-related evaluations
Conduct factual investigations and manage discovery in complex litigation matters
Take and defend depositions and participate in mediation and settlement discussions
Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding coverage positions and strategy
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation preferred
Experience with commercial insurance coverage matters, including:
Commercial General Liability (CGL)
Pollution Liability
Marine
Directors & Officers (D&O)
Professional Liability
Errors & Omissions (E&O)
Strong experience reviewing and interpreting insurance policies
Experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation
Excellent written, analytical, and client communication skills
Strong academic background and attention to detail
Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
