🔧 Senior Structural Engineer – Lead Landmark Transportation Projects

We’re partnering with a highly respected civil engineering firm seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience in transportation-related structural design. Lead design and execution of structural transportation projects: bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and foundations
Act as primary client contact, representing the firm in meetings, stakeholder discussions, and public presentations
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; assist in proposals and business development
Provide mentorship to junior engineers, supporting technical growth and collaboration
Oversee design document production and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with standards
Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with contractors during construction
Ensure adherence to AASHTO, DOT, and applicable local standards and procedures
Use structural analysis and design tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and related software
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
8+ years of structural engineering experience with a focus on transportation infrastructure
PE license required (licensed in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota, or eligible to obtain)
Strong working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design and DOT specifications
Experience with bridge projects in NE, IA, or SD preferred
Proficiency in design tools (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, structural modeling software)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage teams, deadlines, and deliverables
