We’re partnering with a highly respected civil engineering firm seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience in transportation-related structural design. This role offers the chance to work on impactful public infrastructure—bridges, roadways, rail structures, and more—while providing mentorship, leadership, and strategic direction.

If you’re entrepreneurial, technically skilled, and passionate about mentoring others, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

🏗 Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary client contact, representing the firm in meetings, stakeholder discussions, and public presentations

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; assist in proposals and business development

  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, supporting technical growth and collaboration

  • Oversee design document production and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with standards

  • Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with contractors during construction

  • Ensure adherence to AASHTO, DOT, and applicable local standards and procedures

  • Use structural analysis and design tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and related software

✅ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience with a focus on transportation infrastructure

  • PE license required (licensed in Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota, or eligible to obtain)

  • Strong working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design and DOT specifications

  • Experience with bridge projects in NE, IA, or SD preferred

  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, structural modeling software)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to manage teams, deadlines, and deliverables

💼 What You’ll Gain:

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses

  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance

  • 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing

  • Generous PTO and sick leave

  • Flexible work schedules to support work-life balance

  • Professional development support, including continuing education, licensure, and training

  • A people-focused firm with a collaborative culture and clear growth paths
