Bridge Design Engineer A well-established, full-service engineering firm offering expertise in engineering, planning, construction administration, inspection, surveyingnlandscape architecture, and project management is currently seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to join their team. With decades of experience, this company is committed to delivering innovative solutions that address both current and future infrastructure needs—from flood protection and road upgrades to residential and commercial development.
Candidate should have experience in the following
Working in a team environment on multiple projects.
Public meetings process and presentations and professional client interactions
· Preparing preliminary and final quantity take-offs and cost estimates
· Contract preparation, RFI reviews, submittal reviews, conflict resolution closeout
Candidate will have the following responsibilities:
· Design and analyze bridge structures using engineering principles, and software tools
· Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
· Conduct structural inspections and evaluations to assess bridge conditions
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, drafters, and project managers
· Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and construction plans for compliance
Qualifications:
Licensed PE with 5+ years of bridge design experience
· Familiarity with DOTD design and detailing procedures
· Experience with Microstation drafting software
· Bridge Rating experience using AASHTOware Bridge Rating software
· Ability to travel locally and attend evening meetings, as necessary
