DENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER

THIS POSITION REQUIRES EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING ENGINEERING TEAMS IN POWER GENERATION

LOCATION: SE MONTANA

In this role, you’ll oversee a team of skilled engineers and technical experts. You’ll be responsible for providing technical leadership, managing key projects, driving compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and aligning engineering initiatives with long-term strategic goals. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Guide and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, civil, electrical, I&C), fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
  • Translate plant-wide objectives into actionable engineering plans that support reliability, safety, and compliance.
  • Set departmental goals, track KPIs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical & Project Oversight

  • Deliver expert technical guidance to operations, maintenance, and project teams.
  • Oversee engineering input for capital projects, long-term planning, cost estimation, and system modifications.
  • Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of station modifications and capital improvements.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain and update engineering standards and protocols to support operational reliability and regulatory alignment.
  • Track project schedules and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Lead root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between plant leadership, external consultants, and regulatory entities.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure engineering activities align with broader business priorities.
  • Participate in industry forums and contribute to the development of technical standards.

Financial Stewardship

  • Manage significant engineering and construction budgets with an emphasis on cost control and return on investment.
  • Support capital investment planning and financial justification processes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing engineering teams in power generation or industrial settings.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects from concept through execution.
  • Deep understanding of engineering principles, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline); advanced degree or PE license preferred.

Salary Range: $175,000 to $200,000 +

20% Bonus structure
