Job Title: Structural Steel Project Manager / Estimator

Full - Time Position


Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our structural steel team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in both estimating and managing structural steel fabrication and erection projects. This role is key in ensuring projects are accurately estimated, competitively priced, and executed efficiently from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.

  • Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes for materials and services.

  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and in-house teams during bidding and project execution phases.

  • Manage awarded projects including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Oversee fabrication timelines and field erection schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements.

  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Handle change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of combined experience in structural steel estimating and project management.

  • Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Tekla, FabTrol, Procore, MS Project).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • OSHA 30 certification (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred but not required).
