Position Overview:

Seeking a motivated and seasoned Business Litigation and/or Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience representing corporations, business owners, or employment entities in high-stakes litigation involving commercial disputes, employment issues, or both.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in commercial disputes, breach of contract cases, and business-related litigation in state and federal courts 
  • Handle employment law disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims 
  • Develop litigation strategies, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses 
  • Conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and participate in trial preparation and proceedings 
  • Advise clients on risk management, employment policies, and preventative legal strategies 
  • Assist clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, including arbitration and mediation 
  • Stay current on evolving laws and regulations related to business and employment litigation

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school 
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar, with relevant licensing in other jurisdictions as needed 
  • 3-7 years of experience in business and employment litigation 
  • Strong courtroom skills, drafting abilities, and negotiation experience 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and client-management skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment
