Key Responsibilities
We require a skilled individual to support our defense litigation attorneys through all phases of the legal process, from case inception through trial. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Drafting, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Managing and organizing complex case files, including electronic and hard copy discovery.
Coordinating document production and trial exhibits.
Assisting in trial preparation, including preparing notebooks, witness lists, and exhibit indices.
Conducting legal research and factual investigation under attorney supervision.
Handling communication with courts, opposing counsel, and clients professionally.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant in a defense litigation setting.
Proven experience on the defense side of litigation, ideally in medical malpractice, but candidates with robust experience in other areas of insurance defense work are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency with legal software, e-discovery platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
