As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and help drive accuracy, insight, and accountability across the organization.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations. This position offers hands-on responsibility in internal controls, project management, general ledger management, inventory reconciliation, financial analysis, and month-end close. Ideal candidates will have experience in a product-based or construction-related environment and a strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost controls, and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Review and approve journal entries submitted by other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts, including AP, AR, and bank GLs 
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis 
  • Collaborate with the Controller and other departments to implement and monitor internal control procedures.
  • Analyze variances and trends in financial data to support business decisions.
  • Participate in system improvements and automation initiatives related to accounting workflows.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or inventory-heavy environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Proven experience with subledger-to-ledger reconciliation and journal entry workflows 
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Great Plain, Phocas or Bistrack are a plus .
