Job Description

A well-established Iowa Ag organization is seeking a hands-on Location Manager to oversee daily operations at a key facility. This leadership role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining inventory, overseeing safety and compliance, and driving business performance across grain, agronomy, and customer service areas.

Location Manager Key Responsibilities:     

  • Lead and supervise day-to-day operations at the location

  • Manage facility staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines

  • Oversee grain quality, inventory control, and operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, sales initiatives, and customer service goals

  • Maintain accurate accounting records (sales, inventory, expenses, prepay, etc.)

  • Assist with marketing efforts and promote services to current and prospective customers

Location Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in ag operations, business, or a related field

  • Prior experience in ag retail, grain, or facility management preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work extended hours during peak seasons

  • Valid driver’s license required; grain grading/weighing certifications may be needed

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient with inventory and accounting systems

  • Focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

  • Capable of leading teams and building morale
