Job Title: Senior Corporate | Commercial Litigation Lawyer

 

Our client, a multi-practice, highly-respected Calgary firm, is looking for a Senior Family Lawyer. The ideal candidate will be a mid-level or senior lawyer with the skills and experience to assist partners on complex files and contribute to the group’s long-term growth. 

 

The candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Good standing with the Law Society of Alberta

  • A professional demeanor coupled with strong communication skills in English both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently as well as the desire to be in a team environment

  • Client centered approach

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in growing the scope of our firm and partnership potential

  • Superior organizational and time management skills in order handle the volume and fast pace of a busy practice

  • Flexible and adaptable to constantly changing needs within the firm in a fast pace environment

  • Superior attention to detail and desire to provide quality work with a high level of accuracy

  • Excellent judgement and the ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters

  • High client service orientation with a proven track record of excellent client experience

  • Strong work ethic

  • An active champion of diversity and inclusion

     

Qualifications:

  • JD from an FLSC approved school
  • 6+ years of experience in family law matters
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
