Job Description

I am Partnered with a prestigious Employment law firm that is looking to add a bi-lingual legal assistant or paralegal to their group. 

Qualifications:

  • Speak, read, and write English and Spanish
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with civil litigation rules and processes in California Superior courts
  • Experience filing legal documents with state, federal, & appellate court
  • 3+ years of civil litigation or plaintiff employment law experience
  • Independently draft routine civil litigation complaints, discovery (propound/respond), motions, briefs
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Efficiently analyze and prioritize routine legal tasks and projects
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Responsibilities:

  • Translate at client meetings to prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials
  • File and serve legal documents with courts (state and federal; appellate court, a plus)
  • Independently draft complaints, discovery, motions, and mediation briefs
  • Independently prepare routine legal documents
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files and documents
