I am Partnered with a prestigious Employment law firm that is looking to add a bi-lingual legal assistant or paralegal to their group.
Qualifications:
- Speak, read, and write English and Spanish
- In-depth knowledge and experience with civil litigation rules and processes in California Superior courts
- Experience filing legal documents with state, federal, & appellate court
- 3+ years of civil litigation or plaintiff employment law experience
- Independently draft routine civil litigation complaints, discovery (propound/respond), motions, briefs
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Efficiently analyze and prioritize routine legal tasks and projects
- Excellent communication and writing skills
Responsibilities:
- Translate at client meetings to prepare for depositions, mediations, and trials
- File and serve legal documents with courts (state and federal; appellate court, a plus)
- Independently draft complaints, discovery, motions, and mediation briefs
- Independently prepare routine legal documents
- Organize and maintain electronic case files and documents
