A reputable, long-running printing and finishing company is seeking an experienced Book Binder to join their growing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help produce high-quality bound books and printed materials — including hardcover books, softcover books, manuals, catalogs, and specialty printed products. If you have a strong background in bindery equipment and a keen eye for craftsmanship and detail, we would love to talk to you!
Book Binder Responsibilities: Bind books and printed materials according to production specifications and quality standards
Operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, perfect binders, and case binders
Trim, fold, collate, glue, stitch, and assemble printed materials
Take accurate measurements to ensure proper alignment and finishing
Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, durability, and quality standards
Perform basic setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting on bindery equipment
Take good care of tools and equipment. They need to last a long time!
Notify supervisors of any defective equipment or production issues
Coordinate as a team with printing, production, and finishing departments
Follow safety protocols and keep your workspace neat and organized
Book Binder Qualifications:2+ years of bindery or print finishing experience preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Experience operating bindery and finishing equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Ability to read job tickets and production specifications
Overtime and occasional weekends as needed
