A well-established structural steel fabrication and erection contractor is expanding its Project Management team in the Cocoa–Mims / Space Coast area. The company delivers full-service structural steel solutions, managing projects from preconstruction and detailing through fabrication and field erection. Their portfolio includes complex commercial, institutional, and industrial projectsacross the region.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will oversee structural steel fabrication and erection projectsfrom kickoff through completion. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with structural steel projects and thrive on technically challenging assignments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from preconstruction through erection, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget

  • Coordinate with engineering, detailing, and fabrication teams to ensure constructability and design compliance

  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for assigned projects

  • Review shop drawings, fabrication plans, and field work to maintain quality and accuracy

  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to ensure safe and efficient project execution

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent schedule or cost impacts

  • Maintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication and erection

  • Proven ability to manage commercial, institutional, or industrial projects

  • Experience coordinating with detailing, fabrication, and field teams

  • Strong understanding of structural steel construction processes, codes, and standards

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

  • PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus
