Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team in the structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who has 6 months to 2 years of experience working in or around steel fabrication and is eager to learn and grow under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in the coordination and execution of structural and miscellaneous steel projects.

  • Assist with project documentation, scheduling, change orders, and submittals.

  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

  • Help track material procurement, fabrication progress, and installation schedules.

  • Attend project meetings and contribute to planning, logistics, and issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication or construction.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior project managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to project management software or fabrication management tools.

  • Basic understanding of structural drawings and steel fabrication terminology.

  • Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
