Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Site Development (Charlottesville / Lynchburg, VA Area)

A growing heavy civil contractor in Central Virginia is looking to add a Project Manager due to continued growth. They focus on site development, utilities, excavation, paving, and concrete, with a strong backlog across the Charlottesville and Lynchburg areas.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and execution
• Oversee site work and keep projects on track
• Track changes, delays, and progress
• Handle owner billings and change orders
• Review subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Coordinate with owners, subs, and internal teams

Project Experience:

• Utilities (water, sewer, storm)
• Excavation, grading, paving, and concrete
• Projects up to ~$10-15M

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of construction experience (civil/site preferred)
• Utilities experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read plans/specs and perform takeoffs
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractors
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Self-starter with strong communication skills
• Estimating experience is a plus
