I'm working with one of the Northeast's premier litigation firms, which is adding a Litigation Associate in Providence. You'd work on complex civil matters in professional liability, construction, product liability, drugs and medical devices, life sciences, and toxic torts, with real responsibility and meaningful mentorship.
What you'll do:
- Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and meet deadlines
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Work with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys on litigation strategy, and give clients regular status updates
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
What you'll bring:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the Rhode Island Bar
- 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, including Rhode Island state and federal courts
- Experience taking and defending depositions and leading discovery
- Strong advocacy skills, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions
