Project Engineer – Structural Steel (Traveling)

We’re looking for an ambitious Project Engineer with structural steel experience to join a leading structural steel erector based on the West Coast. With active projects in Arizona, this role offers the chance to travel, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to some of the region’s most exciting and recognizable structures. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow in the steel erection industry and develop into a future leader.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support project managers and field teams on structural steel erection projects.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, and erection crews to keep work on track.

  • Assist with scheduling, RFIs, and progress reporting.

  • Provide technical support and help resolve issues in the field.

  • Travel to Arizona project sites to work closely with clients, contractors, and crews.

  • Experience with structural steel erection.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

  • Clear communication skills for working with engineers, contractors, and field teams.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 DOE

  • PTO
